2018 MINI COUNTRYMAN

When it comes to transporting friends and family or carrying cargo, size matters. This understanding led to the 2018 MINI Countryman being bigger and better than the competition when it comes to spaciousness. But that general sentiment — size matters — can also be applied to the 2018 MINI Countryman if size is the metric used to measure style, performance, intelligence and value. Altogether, both in terms of size and deliverables, the 2018 MINI Countryman is the biggest MINI we’ve ever built.

Big on space
The most spacious MINI ever built, the Countryman is capable of seating up to five in comfort and luxury. While the feeling of comfort is an intangible, the MINI Countryman backs up its advantages with numbers — its 39.9 inches of front head room, 37.5 inches of rear head room, 54 inches of rear shoulder room and 37.6 inches of rear leg room are all greater than the Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA250.*

Even as it accommodates four passengers, the MINI Countryman is also more spacious than its competitors from Audi and Mercedes-Benz in terms of cargo storage capacity. With the second-row seats up, the MINI Countryman can fit up to 17.6 cubic feet of cargo — almost a full cubic foot more than the Audi Q3 and 2.7 cubic feet more than the Mercedes-Benz GLA250. With the 40/20/40 split second row folded flat, the Countryman accommodates an impressive 47.6 cubic feet, perfect for packing your belongings for a weekend getaway.

Big on convenience and intelligence

Going back to the idea of a weekend getaway, the 2018 MINI Countryman is ideal for the role of transporter for more than just its spaciousness. If your trip includes a lakeside picnic, you won’t even need to unfold a blanket thanks to an optional Picnic Cushion that turns the Countryman’s rear bumper into a comfortable seat. If you want to be out beneath the stars but would rather not brave a chilly evening, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof lets you enjoy the outdoors from inside the Countryman’s cozy cabin.

To experience the great outdoors properly, you need a vehicle that can take you off of the beaten path. That’s precisely what the 2018 MINI Countryman can do with the available ALL4 all-wheel drive system, which helps guide you safely down a rough trail as deftly as it would on a city street. For your highway voyages, optional Adaptive Cruise Control helps you maintain a safe traveling speed and distance, providing an added confidence whether you’re traveling across town or cross-country.

With 10 million possible design combinations, and with options like the dynamic John Cooper Works Countryman and efficient Countryman Plug-In Hybrid, the 2018 MINI Countryman is our biggest and best in more ways than one.
